The blanket

Granddad is an old man who lives with his son including his grandson Petey.Granddad is a very gentle, sensitive and kind man. He doesn't interfere in his son's business or his decisions. He tries not be an old nuisance, and doesn't talk about aches and pains, and doesn't criticize anybody.
.
Grandson Petey is a very smart boy. He is not afraid to say what he truely thinks. He is sensitive and has a wonderful relationship with his granddad, not as every boy in his age, Petey likes to listento his Granddad's stories.
.
I admire Petey for his actions in the end. He is not afraid to express his ideas and what he really thinks infront of is father.Telling his dad that it would be a great idea to tear the blanket into two halves and keeping one half for him when he is sent away makes his father understand, what he really means to do, sending his father away.

Very good, Tal.

The Best Invention

I have done what I was asked to do in the current assignment; to go and ask my grandparents and my perants what they think is the most important invention of all. Then I am writiting my choice of the greatest invention and the different arguments and facts to support my choice.
From the beginning I encountered a slight problem , my parents and I seem to think the same , that the invention of the computer in general and the internet in particular are the most important inventions . My grandparents, on the other hand, think that the invention of the phone is the greatest one of all.
.
I think that the internet has changed the world in so many ways that it's got to be the one. It make a vast amount of information available practically to everyone on the plant. Also, the internet has made communication between people very easy no matter where you are in the world, far cheaper than using the Phone. You can meet on line a lot of different people from different countries without having to leave your house. You can share hobbies with people who are interested in the same hobbies as you. You can find, buy and sell anything from anywhere. You can get advice on any topic and remain unanimous. I can think of many more facts and arguments but I think that I have proven my point pretty well.
.
To conclude my assignment, I would like to say that I think that the difference in opinions is due to the fact that my grandparents not using the internet so much. So for them the invention of the phone is the greatest invention and rightly so. But for me and my parents the internet has changed the way we live immensely.

In honor of Human Right week-human and children's rights.

What do you think human rights are?
The right to be safe , the right to vote , the right to protest , the freedom of speech and many more

Would you like to have more rights? Which ones?
I think i have enough rights

Rank the 5 most important rights in your opinion. Start with the right that you feel is the most important:

1. Every child has a right to life
2. Special protection shall be given to refugee children
3.Every child has the right to the highest standard of health and medical care possible
4.The child has a right to education.
5.The state is to ensure that primary education is free and compulsory.
6. Children under 15 shall not be recruited into the armed forces .

What responsibilities should you have in the way you speak and in what you say?
I should speak in a respectful mannar without insulting the feelings of others
What responsibilities should you have toward the other students' right to speak?List and explain these responsibilities.
I should allow other students the right to speak without stopping them, listen to what they have to say and let them finish before i speak again.

What responsibilities should other students at the meeting have toward your right to speak? List and explain these responsibilities.
They should let me speak without any interfirence , so i will not have to raise my voice and also let me finish saying what i want to say .
What might happen to the right to free speech if no one fulfilled the responsibilitiesyou have discussed?
There will not be freedom of speech if no one fullfills thier responsibilities , because nop one could talk or listen .

The situation of children's rights in Israel
.
In My opinion the situation of children's rights In Israel is reasonably good, but there is a need for improvement. I think that children are treated quite fairly .In Israel violence is not tolerated for all children no different religions or ethnic backgrounds, but violence does exist.
.
Every kid can say what they think and the children have the right to be heard.
The children are protected from torture and humiliation. Boys and girls are equal and all young people have the right to speak. Everyone has the right to privacy; Everyone has the right to a reasonable standard of living.
.
All children's in Israel have the right:
· To grow and be happy
· All children have the right to play.
· Right to education.
· Right to special needs education if needed
· Right to be treated equally and fairly.
· Right to be safe.
· Right not to be mistreated or abused in any way.
or physical cruelty.
· Right to learn and become a better person.
· Boys and girls should follow the same studies.
· Right to learn about other religions and cultures.
· Right to be respected by teachers.
· Right to explain ourselves before being punished.
· Facilities for disabled pupils - disabled pupils have equal rights.
· Subjects that are not academic should be offered.
.
I think that some rights have to be improved for example:
· Parents should have a right to a say in our education.
· We all should have the right to a reasonable standard of living.
· We should support those who are victims of homelessness,
sickness or unemployment to give children's a chance to get out of poverty.
· Being able to walk down the street without having to constantly look over your shoulders.
· Right to safe transport to and from school.
· People should not be judged by their beliefs.
· Everyone should be able to have dignity, equality, freedom, justice.
· Every person in the world is a part of the human family so they
· should be treated with respect.
· No-one should be made fun of.
· Everyone has the right to speak whatever language they want, but in my opinion all Israeli citizens should be able to speak Hebrew as well.
· No-one is better than anyone else. It is OK to be different.
So to conclude this essay, I think that the children's rights in Israel is much better than in many other countries in the world. But it still needs to be better and we should work for that purpose.
